Banana bread
Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar (can reduce to 1/2 cup)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
Mash the Bananas: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Add the Butter: Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
Mix the Dry Ingredients: Add baking soda and salt to the banana mixture. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
Add the Flour: Slowly stir in the flour until just combined.
Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
Bake: Bake for 60 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve: Slice and enjoy your banana bread!
